Ensuring total transparency in the management of the aquaculture industry and providing visibility to investors requires the implementation of a legislative and regulatory environment that meets the ambitions of the industry.
With this aim in mind, the Agency has created a new regulatory framework to restructure the sector and to establish a framework meeting international standards.
Nowadays, the aquaculture industry is governed by legal mechanism which requires filing a preliminary authorisation request in addition to a concession agreement project. These documents are submitted to the relevant services within the governmental authority responsible for maritime fishing. Requests for aquaculture farms should be submitted to ANDA.
These foundational legal texts related to authorisation and concession requirements to run an aquaculture business have been supplemented with other texts dealing with health, environment, the use of space and the marketing of products.
