As a major actor for the maritime based aquaculture sector in Morocco, The National Agency for Aquaculture Development (ANDA) is taking part in Halieutis, the Fourth International Fisheries Trade Fair, to be held in Agadir.

Between February 15th and 19th, a 300m2 exhibition space, called the “Aquaculture Universe” located in the “Valorisation and Process” wing of the trade fair, will allow the visitors or the attendants or general public to discover the wealth and the potential of the Moroccan aquaculture. The exhibition will also target both professionals and investors attending one of the most important annual events dedicated to the fisheries sector.

The brand new and inventive design of the exhibition has been conceived to work simultaneously as an information window for the public and as a networking tool, which will house stands from various partners, professionals, and also the main key aquaculture stakeholders. These include the National Institute for Fisheries Research(INRH), the Marchica Cooperative for Traditional Fishing, the Cala Iris Cooperative for Marine Fishers, the Al AmalCooperative of Marine Fishers, the DomainesAgricoles, Azura Aquaculture, Eddadi Aquaculture, Aquam’diq, Cultimer, Filet Nova, At Sea Technology, EMYG Aquaculture &Environment, France Naissain and GrupoJJchicolono
Thanks to the strong presence of numerous actors from the entire industry, this event truly is a joint voice for the sector as a whole.

The main purpose is to promote Morocco’s aquaculture potential, present investment opportunities, and reassert the importance of aquaculture projects to the sustainability of Moroccan fisheries sector.

This event serves also as an opportunity to bolster ANDA’s position as the main national actor in aquaculture by presenting visitors with the advances and key projects it launched in aquaculture development. 

ANDA will also participate to the event’s conference sessions by holding a seminar on the theme “Algae-culture, Investing for the Future”, to take place on February 16th 2017. This meeting will be led by national and international experts who will highlight the multiple opportunities presented by the algae industry. It will also identify specific courses of action to better promote the development this sector.
